  • In this paper Fe-C-Ti-Cr system alloys with different B contents were prepared on Q235 steel by CO2 gas shielded flux cored arc welding method. The microstructure of the Fe-C-Ti-Cr-B alloys were analyzed by scanning electron microscopy(SEM).The abrasive wear resistance performance of the overlayer was evaluated on MLS-225 abrasion testing machine. The mechanism of wear resistauce was studied by the observation of attrited surface topography with SEM and energy dispersive spectrometer(EDS).The results are presented as follows:with the B element increasing,TiC particles distributed more symmetrical and the number of the second phase and hardness of the alloy also increased. When the B content increasesd to 1.16%,a large number of carbides were flake away from the wear surface. The alloy with 0.55% B content exhibits excellent wear resistance, that is 3.7 times better than those without B.
