Abstract
The designing principle of chemical compositions of Mn-Ni-Cr-Mo-Ti-B-Ce and Mn-Mo-Ti-B-Ce-Zr alloys high toughness submerged arc welding wires was introduced. Submerged arc welding with matched agglomerated flux was carried out to get the deposited metal. The chemical compositions and microstructure of deposited metal were analyzed. Impact toughness and tensile strength were tested. The morphology of fracture appearance were observed by SEM and the inclusions were also analyzed. Experiment results indicated that the developed welding wire matched two kinds of flux can produce deposited metals of good mechanical properties. Matched flux of higher basicity, the deposited metals have better mechanical properties (σs>500MPa; σb>600 MPa; Akv/J(-20℃)150 J). The microstructure is composed of acicular ferrite and a little proeutectoid ferrite.
