Microstructure and properties of E911 steel welded joint aged at 650℃ for long-time

  • The mechanical properties, serial impact and sustained strength of the welded joint aged at 650℃ for long-time of E911 steel produced by German Vallourec &Mannesmann were tested, optical microscope, transmission electron microscope (TEM) and scanning electron microscope (SEM)were used to observe and analyze the microstructures and the fracture apptarance.The tests show that the welded joint aged at 650℃ for long time of E911 steel has good mechanical properties and sustained strength, the rupture strength of E911 steel is 72.52MPa when the aging time is extended to 100, 000 hours at 650℃, and the rupture strength of welded joint is 60.88MPa.
