Abstract
Al2O3 ceramics has been treated by electroless nicke plating, the surface pretreatment procedure of Al2O3 has been studied.The influence of concentration of liquor of nickel sulfate, concentration of liquor of sodium hypophosphite, temperature of plating and time of plating on the deposition rate are studied.Metallographical analysis of nickel plating layer has been done, and the optimum procedure has been obtained.Soldering of Al2O3 ceramics after electroless nickel plating in low temperature has been produced, and the influence of different conditions of electroless plating process on microstructures and mechanical properties of joints were studied. The results indicate that under the experiment conditions, the electroless plating procedure as concentration of liquor of nickel sulfate and liquor of sodium hypophosphite and soldering procedure as bonding temperature, holding time and pressure have obvious influence on microstructures and mechanical properties of joints.
