Auto-tuning PID control system for molten pool in TIG welding
This paper attempts to develop an auto-tuning PID control system, in which CCD vision sensor and image process techniques arc used for on-line closed-loop control of the molten pool width in TIG welding. The experimental results show that the system is characterized by its good performance and adaptation to variations in welding condition.
