Abstract
The Fluent software was used to study the wetting and solidification behavior of molten Al alloy on Q235 steel surface in the first cycle of cold metal transfer process. The effect of the temperature field on solidification, and their coordination on the wettability of molten drops, and the effect of different initial temperatures on wetting behavior were respectively discussed. The results showed that the molten Al alloy primarily began to solidify at the close of triple line, which is consistent with the distribution of temperature field. The solidified metal blocked the spreading of molten Al to a certain extent. The molten Al alloy showed good wettability on Q235 steel plate with the increase of initial temperature.
