Abstract
The corrosion resistance of 1060 aluminum beam brazed with Zn-Al-Ag, Zn-Al, Sn-Zn and Zn-Cd solders by means of oxygen-acetylene torch brazing was investigated. The corrosion of brazed seam was accelerated by immersing in salt bath. The corrosion resistance of 1060 aluminum brazed seams was evaluated by testing the polarization curve, analyzing weight loss and microstructure. It is found that the corrosion resistance of brazed seams with Zn-Al series filler metal is the best, and the corrosion resistance with Sn-Zn filler metal is the worst. The corrosion resistance of Zn82Al13Ag5 is better than that of Zn98Al immersed in salt bath, while the corrosion resistance of the brazed seam with Zn-Al filler metal is enhanced by adding Ag element in polarization curve test.
