Abstract
In order to solve the problem of the nonuniform temperature distribution in induction heating process of the superhard-abrasive form grinding wheel, the grinding surface was simplified to the corresponding characteristic forming surface. The influences of coil structure and the size of the magnetizer on the temperature distribution of concave and convex characteristic forming surface were analyzed by simulating the induction heating process with software FLUX. The structure of the inductor used for induction brazing of dovetail-furrow form wheel was optimized. Then the induction heating experiment of dovetail furrow form wheel was carried out, meanwhile, the temperature distribution of forming surface was measured by infrared thermal imager. The result showed that this method can realize uniform temperature distribution of forming surface, and the difference in temperature is lower than 50℃.
