Abstract
In order to reduce the subjectivity in evaluating the double wire pulsed welding process stability, a quantitative evaluation method was proposedbased on the probability density distribution. Firstly, the effect of current parameters on the probability density distribution was analyzed. Secondly, three sub-indicators of KDT (the ratio between the peak probability density), KS (the sum of the peak probabilities) and KP (the interval probability) were designed, and the final quantitative indicators of Cpdf and TCpdf were extracted. Finally, an experiment was designed to test the validity of the method. The result shows that the quantitative indicators accurately reflect the degree of stability for different double wire welding signals. Quantitative evaluation of the welding process stability can be achieved. The research provides a decision-making for parameter optimization of process analysis and intelligent control.
