Design and implementation of embedded control system for consumable DE-GMAW

  • Embedded control system for consumable DEGMAW was designed and implemented,and the control tests were performed.The control system consisted of the master control board,the wire-feeding control board and the welding parameters display module.The control system based on 32 bits ARM7 microcontroller LPC2124 could collect and display welding parameters, control bypass arc and metal current.Three circuit boards were connected by bus-structure based on RS-485 interface and Modbus protocol,and could realize digital communication.The results of control tests show that this embedded control system could fulfill the control requirements of consumable DEGMAW, and the corresponding welding process was stable and the weld with good appearance could be obtained.
