Simulation of tangential process of stress field after hard-face-welding during martensite transformation

Abstract
The temperature field and tangential residual stress field of hot roll steel during following cooling process after hardfacing were measured by thermo-vision analyzer and X-ray stress analyzer separately.By using the experimental data and the thermo-physical anckene,mechanical parameter of materials,the stress field of finite element model(FEM) was established.According to this model,the tangential stress of hot roll steel during cooling process after hardfacing was analyzed in this paper.The simulation results showed that the tangential compressive stress could appear on the surface of the specimen during following cooling process when martensitic transformation occured,while the large tangential tensile stress would appear on the surface of the specimen and and maintaining to the room temperature.
