Effects of Ni in deposited metal of T/P92 steel on microstructure and property

Abstract
Effects of different content of Ni additions in filler wires on microstructure and property of deposited metal were investigated.The Cr23C6 and MX phases were observed in deposited metal using transmission electron microscopy(TEM),scanning elctron microscopy(SEM) and X-ray diffraction(XRD).While the phase of laves was not observed in deposited metal.Microstructure and property in deposited metal were also investigated using optical microscope(OM) and high temperature mechanical property experiment,respectively.The results showed that the strength of deposited metal improved with the increase of Ni in filler metal.The toughness increased with the increase of Ni when the content of Ni was less than 1%.While the toughness started to decrease with the content of Ni was higher than 1%.
