Vacuum brazing of nickel-plated quartz fiber reinforced SiO₂ composites and Invar

Electroless nickel plating technology was carried out for the surface modification of quartz fiber reinforced SiO₂ composites,and the vacuum brazing of nickel-plated composites with Invar alloy was also investigated,which was brazed by using Ag-Cu eutectic foils at 830℃ for 10 min.The results show that nickel plating improves the surface structure of quartz fiber reinforced SiO₂ composites,and the maximum shear strength of joint is 29 MPa.
