Analysis of microstructure and nanostructured ZrO2 laser glazed coating

  • The nanostructured ZrO2 laser glazed coating was produced with different glazing processing parameters.Experiments were done to investigate the microstructure and properties.The investigation methods include optical and scan electron microscopy test, microhardness test and thermal shock test.In addition, the change rules of microstructure and properties were discussed.The results show that the depth, width and microhardness of the coating increase with the laser specific energy being increased.Microstructure test and thermal shock test show that the surface morphology and thermal shock resistance of the coating have relation to the laser specific energy.When the specific energy is about 37.2 J/mm2, the laser glazed coating exhibits the best thermal shock resistance.
