Abstract
Surface self-nanocrystallization (SSNC)by means of high energy shot peening (HESP)was applied to produce nanostructures on the ends of TA17 titanium alloy and 0Cr18Ni9Ti stainless steel bars, nanostructured surface layers were formed on the ends of samples.Making treated surfaces as interface, TA17 and 0Cr18Ni9Ti bars were bonded by impact pressure diffusion bonding (IPDB)on Gleeble-1500D tester.Joints were tested on tensile testing machine, the fractures and microstructures on the longitudinal section of joints were researched. Results shown that the maximum strength is about 384.0 MPa, brittle fracture is generated as the joints were tested, and the microhardness are varied with microstructures on the longitudinal section of joint.
