Numerical simulation of temperature field in plasma spraying on polymer matrix composite substrate

  • Metal coating was made on polymer matrix composite substrate by plasma spraying,and coating material was Al,Cu,Zn and Ni.Numerical simulation was made with ANSYS software.The research included the temperature change of substrate when coating material was different,and the temperature field of substrate and coating after spraying.The reason were found that the polymer whose the heat-resistant temperature is low is not be oxidized and burnt when coating material is Al or Zn,but the interface of polymer will be oxidized and burnt when coating meterial is Ni or Cu.
