New method of signal processing for weld tracking system of submerged arc welding

Based on the automatic weld tracking system of submerged arc welding which takes the direct-arc-typed sensor,aiming at the disadvantage of low accuracy which exists in the traditional deviation checking method with welding current,a new arc signal processing method and control strategy-currentvoltage dual control examining method-was put forward,and a simulating model was build up by MATLAB to study the influence of the adjustment factor under difference circumstances on the examination results.By comparison,the simulating result is basically in accordance with the experiment result,the weld tracking accuracy is improved greatly,which provide a powerful tool for the research of automatic weld tracking system of submerged arc welding.
