Argon tungsten arc welding of rapid-solidfied heat-resistant aluminum alloy AA8009

  • Welding technology of the heat-resistant aluminum alloy is very important to the application of the alloy.Three kinds welding wires ER5356、ER4043 and AA8009 were prepared to weld heat-resistant aluminum alloy AA8009 plate with chemical composition of AL-8.5Fe-1.3V-1.7Si and 2mm in thickness by tungsten arc welding.The results show that:the bresk of the welded joint occurs within the fusion boundary region;when the welding wire ER5356 is used the welding coefficients is 52.6%;the cooling rate of the argon tungsten arc welding welds is about 20℃/s;there are many acicular phase separating out in the fusion zone boundry.
