Abstract
A series of creep tests were performed on nickel-based brazing filler BNi-2 and parent metal stainless steel 0Cr18Ni9 at 600℃.A simplified method was used to regress the test results and obtain the material constants required in creep damage analysis. The finite element method coupled with the damage constitutive equation was employed to investigate the creep behavior of the lap brazed joint. The simulation results appeared close agreement to the experimental data, which indicated the feasibility to employ damage approach to study the mechanical behavior of brazed joint at high temperature. The hazard region of the lap brazed joint was analyzed by the numerical simulation and some suggestions to design brazed joint against creep failure were also presented.
