Abstract
Aiming at brazing crack induced by thermal stress during the process of brazing, finite element method was used to analyze the residual stress of joints between the cemented carbide cirque and steel. The effects of joint shapes and filler metal thickness on the distribution of residual stress were researched. The result showed that notch was disadvantageous to the strength of joints, and the optimal value of filler metal thickness existed. The calculated result was consistent with that of the experiment.
