Abstract
The hardware and software design in equipment of flash butt welding based on controller area network (CAN) bus was introduced.In the software design,the application layer protocol of CAN bus was defined.Use of the predominance of CAN bus to control the nodes to work was discussed,and that made the equipment of flash butt welding to be a real distributed control system.
