Calculating and measuring of heating power of friction stir welding

This paper was objected to the calculating and measuring of the heating power during friction stir welding.Through certain simplification,using the methods of experiment and curve-fitting,the relation of light-load to rotation speed was obtained and the relation was put in the Monitor and Control Generated System.According to the relationship of the energy transfer during friction stir welding,introducing measured light and heavy load power to calculation,the direct relation between input power and output torque of main motor was obtainted.Meanwhile,the software adopted in this study,MCGS,has multi-function not only in measuring and calculating the parameters namely power,torque and rotation speed,but also in real-time controlling welding process.
