Self-propagating high-temperature synthesis (SHS) is a new technology that is widely applied in many fields.SHS joining of TiAl inter metallic to TiB2 cermet was studied.It shows that the micro structure of TiAl/TiB2 cermet joint was very complex.The TiAl3 reaction layer in TiAl/interlayer interface and the loop structure of Ti-Al system in interlayer was observed.The poor-Cu layer appeared in TiB2/interlayer interface.
