Shear strength and microstructure in Fe3Al/Q235 diffusion bonded joint

  • Fe3Al inter metallic compound and Q235 low carbon steel were bonded by vacuum diffusion welding technology.The effect of welding parameters on shear strength in the Fe3Al/Q235 diffusion bonded joint was investigated.Microstructure in the Fe3Al/Q235 diffusion bonded joint was analyzed by means of scanning electron microscope (SEM).Appropriate welding parameters were put forward.The Fe3Al/Q235 diffusion bonded joint with excellent microstructure performance and without deformation can be achieved under the condition of heating temperature about 1040-1060℃ for 45~60 min at a pressure of 12~15 MPa.
