Quantitative study on hardness and wear-resistance of ultra-high hardfacing materials

  • Though adding various-strong carbide formotion elements into surfacing alloy system, intergranular precipitation carbide that alloy elements combine with carbon can be formed under following welding thermal cycle or tempering. Those precipitated carbide are not only improving strengthen and increasing wear-resistance ability of surfacing deposited metal, but also enhancing matrix toughness by decreasing carbon content in matrix.Baset on these viewpoints, base alloy system is established with C-Cr-Mo-W-V.Mathematic model on hardness and wear-resistance of ultra-high hardfacing deposited metal with alloying elements is established by quadratic rotary regress optimum design technology, and quantitative influencing rule of alloying element in flux cored wires on surfacing hardness and wear-resistance is also studied.
