Abstract
The abrasives wear of metal of four CO2 shielded flux-cored wire for repairing of caterpillar engineering machine was studied experimentally on a MLS-23 wet sand abrasive tester. The surface of abrasive wear specimen and its microstructure were investigated by transmitting electron microscopy (TEM) after completion of wear test. The study shows that the wear mechanisms of cladding metal of flux-cored wire No.1 and No.2 was microcutting and that of flux-cored wire No.3 and No.4 was microploughing. The four flux-cored wires make a great progress in repairing of caterpillar engineering machine in the Three Gorges Engineering.
