Abstract
In this paper, the orthonormal experiment is applied to study the influence of chromiumiron, graphite and molybdenumiron in the bonded flux on the microstructures and properties of the submerged arc surfacing deposits. Furthermore the effect of the microstructures of the surfacing depositon the hardness and the erosion resistance is summarized. When the microstructures of the deposits are hypoeutectic, the hardness and the erosion resistance of the deposits are low. Those of the eutectic deposits are high. Those of and the hypereutectic deposits with a small amount of CI are highest. Excessive CI will decrease the properties of the deposits. Finally the favorable directions for producing the bonded flux are obtained.
