Effect of Chemical Composition and Thickness of Buffer on Brazing Joint Strength

  • ZrO2 and 40Cr steel were brazed by insertting buffer Ni、4J33、Ti and Cu separately. The chemical composition of 4J33 and Ni would damage the wetting property of the brazing alloy to ceramic, and affect the interface reaction between the active solder and ZrO2, so ZrO2/40Cr steel can not be bonded. Cu and Ti would not affect the wetting ability of Ag66Cu30Ti4, and release the residual stress, so the high joining strength can be obtained.
