Computer Aided Predication of Deposited Metal Composition under Shielded Metal Arc Welding

Main composition of weld metal under the circumstance of different directions of coating mixture and different welding conditions can be predicated by using computer to calculate the composition of deposited metal, based on the quantity of oxygen extracted from the atmosphere during welding process and the equilibrium between slag and metal phases. It is proved that the calculation is feasible because the calculated results are identical with the measured ones.
