A Regression Model of Weld Bead Geometry for Pulsed MAG Welding in Multipositions

Abstract
By the statistic method and central composite design experiments, this paper established a weld bead geometry regression model for pulsed MAG welding in multipositions. This mathematical model describes the relations between the weld bead geometry and the welding conditions, the seam positions and the seam gap width. It can be used for monitoring and controlling welding quality, and also be used for optimizing welding conditions.
