Waveform Modulating System of Converter for Stud Welding of Car Body

A microcomputer controlled IGBT converter for stud welding in the manufacture of car body has been developed.On the basis of introduction to the hardware circuit and software system,this paper discussed in detail the realization method of the waveform modulating.The output waveforms of current and voltage from the converter were actually measured and some welding experiments were conducted in this study.
