Wear resistance of hardfacing electrode

In this paper the hardness and grit wearing tests were conducted for ten kinds of hardfacing electrods produced by the author. Two of them, one produces a harder but low wearability weld bead and another one does a softer but higher wearability bead, were researched using scanning electron microscope and X-ray diffraction analysis, and the effect of some elements and compounds on the wearability of electrods were found out.
