Research on overlay welding electrode without mineral powder

  • An overlay welding electrode without mineral powder (such as, slagforming medium,etc.) was studied in this paper. The problem about various technological properties of the electrode has been solved, and the new electrode prossesses supperhardness, satisfactory wearability and crack resistance. The deposit efficiency of the electrode is higher, there is only a few micro-slag on the welding bead and it is unnecessary to remove the slag in the multi-pass and multi-layer welding. Through welding tests, this electrode is warmly welcomed by oustomers and is referred to as a new type of non-slag electrode.
