Sensing technology of spectral image of welding zone in arc welding

In this paper, a new method for improving visual resolutoin of arc welding robot is proposed. It acquires the spectral emission signal from a selected wavelength region to modify the intensity proportion of the radiation sources of the welding zone. The comprehensive information about arc, molten pool and joint position are obtained. This new method may be considered as an effective way to ensure the high quality of weld tracing.
