THE EFFECT OF Ti TN THE V AND N COEXISTENT WELD METAL

In this paper, the effect of Ti in the V and N coexistent weld metal was investigated systematically. The form of the Ti present was analysed by means of STEM and quantitative phase analysis. It has been proved that the improvement of toughness and strength of the V and N coexistent weld meial can be best acquired by adding; suitable amount of Ti. Ii can form minute incoherent precipitation of Ti with C and N. The harmful effect of V and N coherent precpitation can be thus avoided. The refined acicular ferrite can improve the touighness of the Weld metal.
