THE FATIGUE BEHAVIOUR OF SPOT WELDED JOINTS UNDER COMPLEX SPECTRUM LOADING

  • The fatigue behaviour of spot welded joints under constant and road spectrum loading was investigated by experiment. Linear accumulative damage analysis was conducted by using rain flow counting method and Miner's rule. The performance of two kinds of material with different strength was compared. It is shown that the test result is in good agreement with the predicted life by linear damage rule in conjunction with constant amplitude fatigue test data.
