Abstract
The susceptibility of the weld bond of 9% Ni steel weldment to hydrogen-induced cracking was studied by using cantilever beam bending test, TRC test and Implant test. It was found that in the weld bond of 9% Ni steel wclded with Crl7Nil3Mn8W3 austenitic electrodes there was such a tendency to crack. The cause of this kind of cracking is the formation of martensite layer which is susceptible to hydrogeninduced cracking.
