STUDY OF FRACTURE CHARACTERIZING PARAMETERS OF WELDED JOINTS WITH ASYMMETRICAL MECHANICAL HETEROGENEITY

In this paper cracked welded joints are classified according to their heterogeneity and location of the crack into four types:1.symmetrical heterogeneity with a central crack,2.symmetrical heterogeneity with an eccentric crack,3.asymmetrical hoterogeneity with a central crack,and 4.asymmetrical hetorogeneity with an eccentric crack.A study has been made on the fracture characterizing paramet of cracked welded jointsof the third type and also on the effect of asymmetrical heterogoneity upon the crackdeviation angle
