Abstract
A method of optimum secking experiment combined with orthogonal regression design was adopted by the author to study the A.C arc stability of low-hydrogen basic electrodes.Regression equations were derived for the arc length and the average times of arc extinction to each ingredient of electrode covering,Factors influencing the A.C.arc stability of low-hydrogen basic electrode were also analysed and discussed.A new type of electrode,JIE 506 WEN,with both excellent A.C.arc stability and fine general properties has been successfully developed.
