A STUDY ON THE J-INTEGRAL FOR UNDERMATCHED WELDED JOINTS
In this paper the path-independence of the J-integral and the energy expression J=-(1 ∂U)/(B ∂α) for heterogeneous bodies containing a crack in the sandwiched soft layer,which are the simplified models of cracked undermatched welded joints,are verified by elastoplastic FEM.The influence of mechanical heterogeneity on the J-integral values is investigated.
