QUALITY AND RELIABILITY IN WELDING

As announced in Circular No.1,an International Conference on Quality and Reliability in welding will be held at Hangzhou Hotel,Hangzhou,China,from 6th to 8th of September,1984 (please see the details in Circular No.2 of the conference, which has been distributed to the people who are interest in). During the conference a scientific and technical programme will be arranged which will consist of two parts.Plenary Session and Technical Sessions.Special lectures will be delivered at plenary session by invited speakers from various countries.They are:1).Contribution to the Quality of welded Construction by Dr.M.Evrard (France) 2).A Dominant Factor for the Increase of Productivity and Quality in Industrial Fabrication by Dr.-Ing J.Mermen (F.R.G.) 3).Design of welded HT Steel Ship Structures by Prof.Y.Fujita (Japan) 4).Quality Assurance and the Fitness-for-Purpose Concept by Dr.A.A.Wells (U.K.) 5).Investigation of Hydrogen-Induced Cracking in FCA Welds on HY-80 Steel by Prof.E.F.Nippes (U.S.A.) 6).Electroslag Welding of Large-Tonnage Billets in Power Engineering Industry by Dr.B.E.Paton and Dr.B.I.Medovar (USSR) 7).Arc Welding Control in China by Prof.Pan Jiluan/J.L.Pan (China) In addtion,all the participants from China and abroad will be divided into groups at 4 sessions.More than one hundred papers will be presented by authers at these sessions or displayed at the paster session. The organizing Committee warmly invites specialists and engineers in the field of welding industries to participate in this event.
