A STUDY OF MULTIFUNCTION DEVICE FOR ELECTRON BEAM DEFLECTION AND OSCILLATION

The multifunction device for electron beam deflection and oscillation with a digital control device described in this paper can produce all kinds of graphs needed,unlike the limited graphic presentation of similar devices of different design.It can be used for the simulation of double-electron gun and impulse technology,and is an effective means of promoting EB welding application.The experiments performed on a EB machine with this device showed that if suitable parameters and graphs are selected for the welding of 1Cr18Ni9,GC-4 and LY-11 alloys,the nailing and pitting defects and the weld root porosity may be suppressed to a certain extent,leaving the root of weld smooth.
