The authors developed a new transistor power source which can give a dual-step static characteristic with high dynamic property and rapid changeover capability.The authors suggested also a new method (QH-ARC method) for controlling welding arc.By using this method a highly stable, spatterfree MIG pulsed arc with even droplet transfer could be obtained.The a-chievement of this work provides a new way for controlling welding arc.
