Analysis on the interface microsctruture and property of SiCf/SiCand MX246A brazing joint

  • The brazing of SiCf/SiC and MX246A using high temperature active solider with Ti and Hf to make high quality connection was carried out. The microstructure, phases and mechanical property was analyzed. The results showed that there were compounds as Ni2Si, NiTi, TiC, NiAl, Ni31Si12 formed in the interface and the phases consists of (SiCf/SiC)/MX246A joints was (SiCf/SiC)/TiC + NiTi + Ni2Si + Ni31Si12 + (Ni, Cr) + (Cr, W) + (W, Mo)/MX246A and the shear strength of the joint was up to 90 MPa.
