Abstract
Aiming at the failure to join for the constituent materials brass and 304 stainless steel using resistance soldering at high temperatures, due to the presence of a nylon component, welding experiments were conducted using low-temperature connection method of resistance soldering so as to achieve sealing effect. The results show that under the pressure 0.3 MPa and the welding current 26 kA, the joining with double-layer Sn-Pb foil as brazing filler is available, and the brass center nylon component is not damaged. Observed by scanning electron microscope, surface diffusion occurred between solder and stainless steel or brass. The results of sealing test in water show that the weld area is sealed and the waterproof effect is achieved.
