Narrow gap hot wire TIG welding of TP321 steel pipe

  • 摘要: 为了提高厚壁管道的焊接效率、改善管道服役过程中接头的耐蚀性能,采用窄间隙热丝TIG焊方法,对φ406 mm×30 mm的TP321钢管进行全位置自动焊接. 研究了窄间隙坡口参数的匹配以及影响焊缝成形的主要焊接参数的匹配,并分区域对管道进行焊接. 结果表明,当坡口间隙为1 mm、钝边厚度为2.5 mm、坡口底部宽度为9~10 mm时,打底焊缝成形良好;坡口角度为4°~5°时,未出现倒坡口及未熔合缺陷;全位置焊接过程中,当焊接位置处于立向下时,焊接电流应比平焊时的大,立向上焊接位置则相反;当焊接位置处于仰焊时,与平焊相比应适当增加焊接热输入. 所得焊缝在各个区域成形良好,RT检测合格.

     

    Abstract: In order to improve the welding efficiency of thick wall pipe and the corrosion resisting property of the weld joint, narrow gap hot wire TIG welding was adopted for TP321 steel pipe with the size of φ406 mm×30 mm by all position automatic welding. The narrow gap groove parameters and the main welding parameters matching were studied. Welding tests were carried out according to different area with various parameters. The result shows that the good backing weld forming was obtained when the groove gap is 1 mm, thickness of the root face is 2.5 mm, and the width of the groove bottom is 9~10 mm. No defect was detected when the groove angles was 4°~5°. The weld current of down vertical position welding should be larger than that of downward welding, which was reverse when up vertical position welding. The weld heat input of the over head position welding should be increased appropriately compared with that of downward welding. The good weld appearance was obtained by wall position welding by using parameters above. And the RT inspection result shows that the welding quality is excellent.
