Ultrasonic echo features and nugget diameter measuring for welding spot of aluminum alloy

  • 摘要: 对铝合金点焊焊点进行了超声检测,分析了焊点各区域的超声回波信号特征,并用MATLAB设计了点焊焊点熔核直径的计算程序.该程序可通过两种方法来计算焊点熔核直径,一种是对超声A扫描信号处理,另一种是对B扫描图像进行处理.最后,将计算所得的焊点熔核直径值和熔核直径实测值对比.结果表明,采用超声回波信号法测量焊点熔核直径是可行的;第一种方法计算结果准确,但所需数据量大;第二种方法所需数据量较小,但计算结果偏差较大.

     

    Abstract: Ultrasonic test is used for detecting welding spot of aluminum alloy. The ultrasonic echo features around the welding spot of aluminum alloy are analyzed. A program is designed by MATLAB, which provides two methods for measuring nugget diameter of welding spot of aluminum alloy. One is signal processing of A-scan contained in B-scan image, and the other one is image processing of B-scan. The calculated values of nugget diameter by the two methods are compared with the measured values by macrophotograph of samples. The results show that the ultrasonic method is available for measuring nugget diameter of welding spot of aluminum alloy. The first method is accurate but needs more data, and the second one needs a few data but the accuracy is not so good.
