Ultrasonically aided brazing of SiCp/A356 composites

  • 摘要: 利用超声波辅助钎焊的方法实现了Zn-Al合金与体积分数55%SiCp/A356复合材料的连接,并得到了由SiC陶瓷颗粒增强的复合焊缝.通过扫描电镜、能谱等方法对焊缝的微观结构进行了描述,研究了超声波作用时间对焊接接头微观组织结构及连接强度的影响规律,建立了超声波作用下复合焊缝形成过程的物理模型.当焊接温度为475℃,超声波作用时间为20 s时钎焊焊缝的平均抗剪强度值为231 MPa.由SiC陶瓷增强的复合焊缝其室温抗剪强度与无增强相颗粒的纯合金焊缝强度相比提高了50%.结果表明,焊缝中铝含量的增加及陶瓷颗粒的增强作用是导致焊缝强度提高的两个重要因素。

     

    Abstract: The ultrasonically aided brazing of 55vol% SiCp/A356 composites in air using Zn-Al alloy as a filler material is investigated.The microstructure of brazed metal is analyzed with scanning electron microscopes and EDAX, the regular effect of ultrasonic acting time on microstructure and shear strength of brazed metal is studied, and the illustration of the formation of composite joint under the ultrasonic vibration is established.The average shear strength of the brazed bonds reaches 231 MPa when brazing at 475℃ with application of ultrasonic vibration for 20 s.The shear strength of the composite bonds increases by 50% than that of the brazed bond without SiC particles.The increased strength is associated with the increase of the aluminum content and the quantity of reinforcement particles in the bond metal.
