Reducing Spatter for CO2 Welding Using Inverter with Satiable Inductor

  • 摘要: 短路液桥爆断前几百微秒内所积聚的能量,直接影响着短路过渡CO2焊飞溅水平的大小。本文针对普通CO2焊逆变电源的动态性能不能满足短路过渡CO2焊波控方法的要求,焊接电源难以实现在液桥爆断前迅速减小电流的问题,提出了一种在波控方法中采用可饱和电感作为CO2逆变焊机续流电感的方案。理论分析和试验效果证明,此种方法可以大大改善逆变电源的动态性能,显著提高了短路液桥缩颈过程中电流的衰减速度,从而减小了短路液桥爆断前积聚的能量及液桥爆断时的液桥直径,达到了减小飞溅的效果。

     

    Abstract: The energy accumulated within hundreds of microseconds before the rupturing time point of the short circuit liquid bridge influences directly the spatter level in CO2 short circuit transfer welding. Focusing on the normal inverter's dynamic characteristics which can not satisfy the requirement of reducing current quickly before the time of rupturing of the bridge, a new current wave controlling method for short circuit transfer CO2 welding using satiable inductor is put forward in this paper. Theory analysis and experiment results prove that the inverter's dynamic characteristics is greatly improved, the declining speed of current during liquid bridge neck shrinking is quicker, subsequently the energy accumulated in the bridge and the radius of the bridge before rupturing is reduced. The spatter is effectively reduced.
