中频感应压力焊接头断口“白斑”产生机制

Forming mechanism of white speck on interface fractography of induction pressure welding

  • 摘要: 感应压力焊常用于生产电站蒸汽管对接接头;但在抽检样品时接头断口上有时存在所谓的"白斑"组织。"白斑"的存在可导致蒸汽管在高温运行时发生破裂或爆管。本研究指出,"白斑"是接头对接面之间的弱连接;为了减少接头断口"白斑",有必要增加顶锻量,同时提高对接面的光洁度和清洁度。在试验研究的基础上,提出了两种形式的接头形成物理模型和3种类型的接头断口韧窝模型,由此可揭示接头的形成木质和"白斑"形成机制。

     

    Abstract: Induction pressure welding is often used to manufacture the butt joints of steam pipe of power plant. However, the so called white speck, as sometimes appeared on the fractography of the checked sample weld, may lead to fracture or burst of steam pipes during high temperature operation.The investigation indicated that the white speck implied the weak linkage between the ends welded. In order to reduce the white speck region, It is necessary to increase upsetting. At the same time,the abutting ends should be first machined or ground to a smooth clean surface. On the basis of experiments, two kinds of butt joint forming physical models and three types of dimple models of fractography have been proposed. These models reveal the essence of welding process and the forming mechanism of white speck.
